To trigger this every time a new item is added to Reading List, you’ll be using Hazel to monitor the ist file located in ~/Library/Safari/ on your Mac.
In short, the workflow relies on ReadingListReader to parse your unread Reading List items and save them to Instapaper using readinglist2instapaper.
